Jan. 31: Miami International Autodrome, Florida
Electric racing fans rejoice — Formula E is set to electrify Miami once again, debuting at the renowned Miami International Autodrome at Hard Rock Stadium during its 12th season. Announced Tuesday by Formula E and the FIA, the upcoming season will feature its most ambitious calendar yet, with 18 races across 12 global cities, including the series’ first races in Madrid and at the Miami venue.
A Landmark in the Series’ Growing U.S. Presence
Returning to Miami for only the second time since the series’ inaugural season, the move signals a fresh and strategic chapter in Formula E’s expansion on the East Coast. The race is scheduled for Jan. 31, 2026, as part of the series’ global route connecting Europe, Asia, and the Americas. The Miami event follows the successful EVO Sessions in March 2025, building momentum in the region.
A Season of Innovation and Sustainability
Set to run from December 2025 through August 2026, Season 12 will feature classic venues in Berlin, Tokyo, and Shanghai, along with double-header weekends at Monaco — a highlight in motorsport celebrating its return to back-to-back races on its storied street circuit. The season wraps with a grand finale at London’s Excel, marking the last race for the current GEN3 Evo car before the debut of the advanced GEN4 model in 2026-27.
Sustainability has been a cornerstone of the calendar’s design: events are grouped by continent to minimize freight and CO2 emissions, aligning with Formula E’s mission to promote electric innovation and eco-friendly racing.

The Miami E-Prix: A New Chapter
Miami’s electrifying culture, passion for innovation, and deep motorsport roots make it an ideal partner for Formula E. Tyler Epp, president of the Miami International Autodrome, expressed enthusiasm: “Hosting the 2026 Miami E-Prix at Hard Rock Stadium brings world-class motorsport to South Florida while reinforcing shared values of sustainability and cutting-edge technology.”
Nacho Calcedo, host cities director for Formula E, added: “Miami’s vibrant entertainment scene makes it a perfect fit for our championship. Returning here marks an important milestone in our U.S. journey, and we’re excited to deliver a spectacular event that connects with both dedicated motorsport fans and new electric racing enthusiasts.”
