They’re starving for everything but love. Rodolfo loves Mimì, Marco loves Musetta, Colline loves philosophy, Schaunard loves music and they all love their eccentric, bohemian life in the garrets of Paris’ 19th century Latin Quarter. Starving artists all, this crazy cadre of young friends bear their poverty with laughter and grace, until it devastates them with unspeakable tragedy. With beloved favorites like “Che gelida manina,” “Quando m’en vo” and “Donde lieta uscire,” Puccini’s divinely romantic score memorably illustrates the joys, struggles, loves, quarrels, triumphs and tragedies of six friends and lovers as they embody the true vie de bohème.
Featuring Italian tenor Davide Giusti in his American debut as Rodolfo, joined by soprano Rebecca Krynski-Cox (FGO’s A Streetcar Named Desire) as Mimì, Craig Verm as Marcello and Taylor-Alexis DuPont and Sara Kennedy alternating performances as the flirtatious Musetta.
