Florida Freedom Goes Perfect 2-0 in Austin, Rising to No. 5 in PBR Standings

The Florida Freedom made a strong showing at the PBR Camping World Team Series event over the weekend, finishing with a perfect 2-0 record and climbing from ninth to fifth place in the league standings.

In their first matchup on August 23, the Freedom bested the Nashville Stampede, the league’s inaugural champion, by a single ride score of 177 to 86.5. Key contributions came from riders Alex Cerqueira and Elizmar Jeremias.

After a bye on August 24, Florida continued its winning streak against the Arizona Ridge Riders on August 25, securing a decisive 231 to 89.25 victory. Joao Lucas Campos, along with Cerqueira and John Crimber, all completed successful rides to ensure the Freedom’s triumph.

With this weekend’s results, the Freedom improved their season record to 6-7.

The next stop for the PBR Camping World Team Series is the Great Southern Bank Arena in Springfield, Missouri, for Thunder Days. Events will take place at 7:45 p.m. CT on Friday, August 30, and Saturday, August 31, with a finale at 1:45 p.m. CT on Sunday, September 1. The Florida Freedom will open the competition by taking on the Texas Rattlers.
