Join Talavera Cocina’s Executive Chef Oscar del Rivero at the annual Tour of Kitchens event, Saturday, January 29 from 9 am to 1 pm as he showcases popular dishes from Talavera’s innovative menu. The Tour of Kitchens includes an exclusive peek into several of Coral Gables’ most impressive, private kitchens as well as cooking demonstrations and tastings by prominent South Florida chefs.
Celebrating its second year, the Tour of Kitchens benefits CoralGables@HOME, a membership program dedicated to helping seniors maintain a quality, independent lifestyle. In addition to sampling dishes from top Coral Gables restaurants, guests will enjoy a variety of events including educational design seminars and cookbook sales. Following the tour, guests are invited to a luncheon and fashion show at the Coral Gables Country Club Prado Entrance.
Chef del Rivero, also of South Florida favorite Jaguar Ceviche, will prepare two of Talavera’s most popular dishes: red enchiladas with chicken and chilorio enchiladas with roasted pulled pork. Chef del Rivero’s passion for creating unique dishes with simple ingredients is showcased through Talavera’s artisanal Mexican offerings.
