Ekin Smart City Technology announced a significant push into the U.S. market with a $25 million investment for 2026, aiming to establish full-scale operations across the country. The move will fund hiring, infrastructure, product engineering, and manufacturing, supporting the rising demand from public safety and municipal agencies.
Currently piloting solutions with over two dozen agencies nationwide, Ekin plans to hire more than 100 U.S. employees in 2026 and expand its offices in Miami, Atlanta, Southern California, and New York City by year’s end.
Led by Alex Hamlin as President of Ekin Public Safety USA, the company focuses on solving the fragmentation in U.S. public safety systems through integrated, proven solutions that improve efficiency and community safety. Ekin’s flagship product, the Patrol G2 AI-enabled smart lightbar, consolidates law enforcement, traffic, parking, and municipal functions into a unified platform.
Already in use by the City of Coral Gables and Miami Police, Ekin’s technology is transforming public safety operations, with industry leaders applauding their global trust and local investment. Ekin’s long-term strategy aims to lead the smart city sector in the U.S., building infrastructure and partnerships to support agencies for decades.
