Egyptian Gallery Preview at Bass Museum of Art

On Thursday, April 29, Bass Museum of Art will inaugurate the only Egyptian Gallery in Florida at their members-only premiere event, A Night at the Museum.  The gallery offers a unique opportunity to learn about one of the world’s oldest and most mysterious civilizations from its surviving objects, including an Egyptian sarcophagus and mummy. The evening also features informal curator-led talks by Dr. Edward Bleiberg, Curator of Egyptian, Classical and Ancient Middle Eastern Art at the Brooklyn Museum and Consulting Curator to the Egyptian Gallery.  A Night at the museum costs $125 and admits two to the private opening event; this cost includes an annual membership at the sustaining level.

For more info or to join call the mummy hotline: 786.343.6341 or email: mummy@bassmuseum.org
The Egyptian Gallery opens to the public April 30.
