Donate a Handbag to Benefit Dress for Success Miami for a Chance to Win an Alma Tonutti Designer Bag from 120% Lino
In honor of Earth Day, Shops at Merrick Park is encouraging sustainability through the reuse and recycling of handbags to support Dress for Success Miami. On Saturday, April 22, and Sunday, April 30, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., shoppers can bring their gently used handbags to Shops at Merrick Park for a chance to win an Italian designer Alma Tonutti bag for 120% Lino ($345 value). All collected handbags will be donated to Dress for Success Miami, a nonprofit organization that empowers women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.
“We are proud to partner with Dress for Success Miami to supply our area’s women with the necessary items needed to promoteconfidence in the next step of their careers,” said Carlos Limontes, general manager of Shops at Merrick Park. “Shops at Merrick Park welcomes everyone to make a positive impact on the environment and support a great cause.”
Last year, Dress For Success Miami assisted over 500 women seeking opportunities in the workforce. Shops at Merrick Park encourage shoppers to visit their website for additional ways to support this important cause.
The Earth Day Recycle Bag Program at Shops at Merrick Park highlights the importance of reducing waste and repurposing items. By donating a handbag, shoppers can help give new life to an item that can benefit someone in need. Monetary donations will be used to help provide the necessary resources for women to purse their professional goals.
Patrons wishing to make a donation on weekdays can also drop-off handbags at Shops at Merrick Park’s management office during regular business hours.
