“Fanfare for the Uncommon Woman” comes to Dranoff 2 Piano in Miami from a series of concerts presented by the Makrokosmos Project. This concert honors the outstanding and uncommonly extraordinary women composers of classical music. This year, the concert will present historical and contemporary greats from Clara Schumann to Chen Yi and Gabriela Lena Frank. The artists and creators, Stephanie Ho and Saar Ahuvia, are the founders of the Makrokosmos Project. The concert title is a tribute to Aaron Copland’s 1942 American masterpiece “Fanfare for the Common Man.”
