DOWNTOWN FORT LAUDERDALE DAY OF THE DEAD

Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale and Damn Good Hospitality are thrilled to announce the Downtown Fort Lauderdale Day of the Dead Celebration. This FREE family friendly event will take place on Saturday, November 1st, beginning on Stage  and Festival in Esplanade Park at 3PM with the Skeleton Processional beginning at 6:00PM and ending at the Street Festival outside Revolution Live and Backyard with festivities running until 11PM    This unique South Florida event is a creative spectacle honoring Mexican and Latin American traditions while exploring modern interpretations that connect a broad spectrum of people.
This year’s Downtown Day of The Dead starts at Esplanade Park on Saturday, November 1st from 3-8 pm. The  stage will be filled with performers and music and history of the Day of the Dead. Guests will also have the chance to enjoy face painting, along with masks and other arts and crafts for children. Facing painting will be open beginning at 2 PM. Also in the park and surrounding area will be Latin food, artisan booths and much more. At 6:00 pm sharp, the Skeleton Processional begins showcasing those celebrating the holiday and dressing to show their heritage.
The stroll will culminate at Revolution Live and Backyard. There, attendees will arrive at the Downtown Day of the Dead Street Party filled with Food Trucks, the Craft Crypt, and a Muertos Street Festival. DJ’s, Face Painting, and puppet photo ops will fill the event will fill you with food and fun. The street festival will be open from 5-11pm.
