Music legend Diana Ross will take center stage as the official godmother of Royal Caribbean’s newest cruise ship, Star of the Seas, debuting August 2025. The announcement was made Wednesday, marking the start of what promises to be the ultimate family vacation experience in the Caribbean.
The iconic singer and performer will participate in a traditional maritime naming ceremony at Port Canaveral, Florida, where the 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises will set sail. The festivities will culminate with a ribbon-cutting event at the ship’s AquaTheater, located inside the stunning AquaDome neighborhood, offering guests panoramic ocean views.
