The Design Center of the Americas is inviting members of the design community and industry insiders to a day of instructive events as part of their Summer Refresh Market taking place on the Dania Beach campus on Thursday, August 18 beginning at 10:30 am. As part of DCOTA’s Summer Refresh, SoFlo Home Project’s Alena Capra sits down with B+G Design—led by the husband-and-wife duo Brett Sugerman & Giselle Loor Sugerman—the recent recipients of the Luxe Red award. They will be joined by Eilyn & Ray Jimenez of Sire Design, and Raymond Nicolas to check in at height of their Netflix series premiere for “Designing Miami.”

Fine art can be an essential tool for uplifting beautiful spaces. Moderated by Maxence Doytier of Venice Magazine—Bonnie Clearwater, Director and Chief Curator of NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale, Mazen Saleh, General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Fort Lauderdale, and Miami artist Jared McGriff sit down to discuss how the art of curating is integral to new real estate properties and growing culture in evolving cities.

Navigating the Art Market with Crestron & AXIOM Fine Art
Is navigating the oversaturated art market driving you mad? Do you need tips on incorporating art into design projects? Join AXIOM Fine Art Consulting’s CEO Russell Glotfelty and Melanie Werner, AXIOM’s South Florida Sales Director, who’ll explain:

A seriously light take on the weirdest and worst days in business. Join DCOTA’s Director of Design Services Anel De Castro as your moderator and interior designers Juliette Calaf, Ann Ueno Reginald Dunlap and Alex Alonso as we divulge heart-stopping moments in their design careers.
