Dancing under the stars! The September 10 edition of Dance Band Night kicks off our celebration of Brazilian Independence Day – a live concert by Rose Max Samba Band and dance lessons from Gil Santos Dance Studio. Also enjoy delicious Leblon caipirinhas and Brazilian food for sale.
Rose Max is the most in-demand and award winning Brazilian singer based in South Florida. Over a 25+ year career she has earned numerous awards (New Times Best of Miami, Brazilian International Press Awards), and thousands of loyal fans. This special project, the Rose Max Samba Band, features 100% pure samba music from Rio de Janeiro – the great carnival anthems, the traditional “marchinhas” of the 1920’s, to the samba hits of today by Zeca Pagodinho, Arlindo Cruz, Beth Carvalho and more.
No partner is necessary to participate, and dancers of all ages and ability welcome!
Dance Band Night is every 2nd Thursday of the month at the North Beach Bandshell. Come dancing with the ‘real’ stars this Thursday, September 10.
Dance Band Night is produced by The Rhythm Foundation with support from Baptist Health South Florida and the Miami Foundation.
