The inaugural motorola razr Miami Premier Padel P1 wrapped up today with the men’s and women’s finals, and the stars were in attendance for the biggest matches of the week.
Latino GRAMMY winner and King of Reggaeton Daddy Yankee was a special guest that held the coin flip ahead of the men’s final. Soccer star Paul Pogba and tennis standout Matteo Berrettini were also in attendance on the tournament’s final day.
The day began with a tightly-contested women’s final, as second-seeded Gemma Triay and Delfina Brea upset the world No. 1s and top-seeded Ariana Sanchez and Paula Josemaria (2-6, 6-1, 6-4).
The men’s final featured more impressive play, as second-seeded Alejandro Galan and Federico Chingotto defeated Franco Stupaczuk and Juan Lebron in straight sets (6-1, 7-6).
With their victories, Brea and Triay and Galan and Chingotto became the first Premier Padel champions in the U.S.
