Now on display until March 9, 2026, at Miami International Airport’s Gate D31 Gallery, Regina Jestrow’s Curious Geometries exhibition brings together art, place, and sustainability. Using repurposed fabrics sourced from Miami-Dade and MIA’s interior design and textile collections, Jestrow’s large-scale quilts explore Miami’s layered ecology through dynamic geometric patterns and playful textures.
Inspired by American folk-art quilting and geometric abstraction, Jestrow employs improvisational dyeing and meticulous stitching, creating works that reflect both the city’s vibrant landscape and its textile history. Pieces like Spiderweb 3 – MIA (2025) incorporate materials from local locations, blending craft, memory, and sustainability in a quiet dialogue about community, environment, and artistic transformation.
A Queens native now based in Miami, Jestrow’s work celebrates textile activism, cultural heritage, and innovative craft—offering travelers a reflective, tactile experience that stitches together the fabric of Miami itself.
