Paying tribute to alum Sergio Giral, who sadly passed away at the age of 87 earlier this year, with a screening of our 1991 Official Selection María Antonia. Based on the play of the same name by Eugenio Hernández Espinosa, this Goya Award nominee was the last film Giral made in Cuba before going into exile.
Part of our year-round Cuban Cinema Series, sponsored by ArtesMiami, our very-own Alejandro Rios will lead a special tribute alongside screenwriter Armando Dorrego and protagonists Alexis Valdés and Micheline Calvert.
