Miami Dade College’s long-standing CUBAN CINEMA SERIES, founded by our very own Guest Programmer Alejandro Ríos, returns with a special presentation of the 1979 classic EL SÚPER!
Join co-director Orlando Jiménez Leal alongside some of the actors from the film on January 26 at the Koubek Center for a special post-screening conversation and tribute to the late León Ichaso, one of the most distinguished directors of Cuban exile.
Now under the care of Miami Film Festival, the series continues on February 29 with the re-release of the 1989 revealing documentary 8A. Beyond these special retrospectives, anticipation builds for a showcase of new Cuban films programmed by Ríos for the Festival’s 41st Edition – taking place April 5-14, 2024.
