Celebrity Cruises has marked a significant milestone in luxury travel with the delivery of its newest Edge Series ship, Celebrity Xcel, and the formal start of construction on its sixth Edge Series vessel, Celebrity Xcite, at Chantiers de l’Atlantique in Saint-Nazaire.
Celebrity Xcel officially joins the fleet, with her debut in November, offering seven new upscale spaces and a new standard in premium cruising. The ship will sail from Fort Lauderdale on seven-night Caribbean itineraries before launching a Mediterranean season in summer 2026, with overnight stops in Madeira, Portugal.
The celebration included a traditional handover ceremony with executives, crew, and maritime traditions, highlighting the partnership’s commitment to innovation and excellence.
