Beloved Ecuadorian-Born Bistro & Bakery Opens Its First U.S. Location
Casa Nané, a family-founded bistro and bakery born in Ecuador, has officially opened the doors to its first U.S. location in the heart of Brickell. Nestled within Maizon Brickell on SW 2nd Avenue, this charming new venue invites guests to slow down, recharge, and indulge in life’s simple pleasures, all while enjoying Casa Nané’s signature cookies and all-day brunch offerings.
The Brickell opening represents the evolution of Biscuits by Nané, which began in 2013 in the kitchen of Ecuadorian pastry chef Jeanet Hanze—affectionately known as “Nané.” What started as a weekend baking hobby quickly blossomed into a culinary venture, thanks in part to the support of her husband and business partner, Christian Stagg. Over the years, they expanded their brand, opening multiple locations across Ecuador, and now they are thrilled to share Casa Nané’s homemade flavors beyond borders with the Miami community.
“We’ve had remarkable success with our five locations in Ecuador and are thrilled to bring this experience to Miami,” said Hanze, co-founder and pastry chef at Casa Nané. “We love the energy of Brickell and hope Casa Nané becomes a space where people can pause, come together and enjoy the warmth of community.”
The Brickell menu features a thoughtful blend of sweet indulgences and savory comfort foods. Guests can savor Casa Nané’s iconic freshly baked cookies, available in unique flavors such as s’mores, coconut dulce de leche and macadamia, and red velvet. The all-day brunch menu includes hearty salads, pastas, sandwiches, burgers, alongside a selection of specialty coffees, smoothies, and teas.
Perfect for a relaxing weekend brunch or casual lunch, Casa Nané proudly highlights the rich flavors of Ecuadorian cuisine. Highlights include traditional plantain dishes like tigrillo—a comforting scramble of mashed green plantains, cheese, and eggs; bolón—mashed green plantains stuffed with cheese or chicharrón (pork rinds); and tortilla de verde—a crispy plantain tortilla with a soft, cheesy center. Guests can also enjoy fresh Ecuadorian ceviches, such as the JipiJapa Ceviche featuring raw Mahi-Mahi in a tangy lime and peanut base, or a mixed seafood ceviche garnished with avocado, cilantro, and crispy plantain chips.
Designed with soft pastel hues and natural wood accents, the 1,800-square-foot location boasts handmade pastel-pink tableware crafted by an Ecuadorian artist and a floral mural inspired by the brand’s Ecuadorian roots. With a calming 56-seat setting, Casa Nané offers both indoor seating and outdoor tables, creating an inviting escape amidst the hustle and bustle of Brickell.
In addition to its culinary offerings, Casa Nané aims to foster community and creativity by hosting curated events, including floral workshops and fitness gatherings, to bring people together beyond the plate.
“Bringing Casa Nané to the U.S. has been a vision years in the making,” said Stagg, co-founder of Casa Nané. “From logistics to sourcing, every detail has been carefully planned to ensure this new location reflects the same quality, warmth, and consistency our customers love back home. Brickell is just the beginning—we’re excited to keep growing.”
