Care Resource, a vital community health provider serving Miami-Dade and Broward, has received a $5 million grant from Jeff and Lauren Sánchez Bezos’s Day 1 Families Fund—one of the largest in the nonprofit’s history. Part of the eighth annual cohort, the grant aims to expand emergency housing, case management, and long-term solutions for families experiencing homelessness.
This funding will help ensure no child in South Florida sleeps outside by supporting families with innovative housing assistance, healthcare, and supportive services over the next five years. Since 2018, the Day 1 Families Fund has awarded over $850 million to organizations nationwide, transforming the fight against family homelessness in communities across America.
This year, the Fund issued a total of $102.5 million in grants to 32 organizations. The full list of awardees is available at https://bezosdayonefund.org/day1familiesfund.
