ArtServe Announces 2026 Calendar of Events

ArtServe, Broward County’s premier incubator for arts and culture, has released its 2026 calendar of events. The coming year brings a thoughtfully curated mix of exhibitions, celebrations and community programs designed to champion creativity and broaden cultural engagement. Through its visual and performing arts initiatives, ArtServe continues to nurture artistic growth, expand educational opportunities and strengthen the region’s creative economy.
“Our 2026 season reflects ArtServe’s commitment to bringing people together through art that encourages reflection, dialogue and a true sense of community,” said ArtServe CEO Jason Hughes. “Each exhibition explores a different aspect of the human experience. When taken together, the season offers our community a chance to discover, connect and engage in ways that are both meaningful and inspiring.”
This year’s lineup encourages audiences to pause, consider their own stories, and connect more deeply with one another. Highlights include:
Journey to Mount Athos
January 23 – March 6, 2026
ArtServe opens its 2026 season with Journey to Mount Athos, presented in partnership with the Mount Athos Foundation of America. The exhibition features more than 30 large-scale art banners, photographs, and cultural artifacts that illuminate the spirituality, artistry, and traditions of Greece’s Mount Athos Orthodox monastic community. Additional works by local Greek artists—along with poetry, traditional costumes, and musical instruments—celebrate Hellenic culture, history, and Fort Lauderdale’s sister-city connection with Thessaloniki.
Opening night will feature a Greek-themed celebration with live music, costumed dancers, guest speakers, and cultural presentations sponsored by the American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association (AHEPA) and the Hellenic Society of South Florida. The public reception will take place January 23 at 6 p.m.
