NWSA visual arts’ annual lecture series continues with sculpture visual arts adjunct faculty Veronica Fazzio. A mixed media interdisciplinary, installation artist whose mediums include Sculpture, Social Sculpture, Performance, Textiles, Photography & Video, Fazzio is an Artistic-Researcher and a Social Sculpture Practitioner. Her work focuses on transformation, the non-human as participant, post-human philosophy, gender, entangled with autobiographical memories. Fazzio’s work has been exhibited, Lectured, and presented her work throughout Argentina, Italy, Norway, United Kingdom, Germany, Mexico, and the United States. Recently Fazzio earned her Ph.D. from the University of Plymouth, UK (2021) in Visual Arts (Contemporary Practices) and an MFA from Miami International University of Art & Design. Earlier in Buenos Aires she earned a degree in Photography and Audiovisual Techniques at E.D.A.F. and a Fine Arts teaching degree with focus in Sculpture. The lecture concludes with a Q&A session where students will have the opportunity to further engage with Fazzio about her work as a practicing artist. |
