Music
The Latin Recording Academy has announced that the In The Mix® event of its Circle of Producers and Engineers (CPI) will join forces with Sebastián Krys' Los Producers for a night of networking and live music during Latin GRAMMY® Week. The event takes place November 11, 2026 in Las Vegas, sponsored by BMI, and benefits The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research — an organization particularly meaningful to Krys, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2019.
During the evening, the CPI will honor Krys's extensive career and his many contributions to Latin music. A 14-time Latin GRAMMY® and 8-time GRAMMY® Award-winning producer and engineer, and a two-time Latin GRAMMY Producer Of The Year (2007, 2015), Krys has worked with Elvis Costello, Juanes, Ricky Martin, Alejandro Sanz, Shakira, Carlos Vives, Jennifer Lopez, and Gloria Estefan. He was also the A&R behind the global smash 'Despacito.'
The event will feature structured and spontaneous live performances, bringing together prominent figures from the music industry in a space dedicated to recognizing the work of those behind some of music's most significant recordings. Additional sponsors include Mitú, Verizon, La Marca Prosecco, Universal Music Latino, Warner Chappell Music, Rimas Publishing, Magnus, Sony Music Publishing, and Guitar Center.
