Baywatch is coming back, and FOX has assembled a cast that spans legacy fans and a new generation in equal measure. The series premieres Wednesday, January 6, 2027, at 9 PM ET/PT on FOX.
Stephen Amell plays Hobie Buchannon — the wild-child legacy character, son of the original Mitch Buchannon, now serving as Baywatch Captain on the Southern California coast. His world gets complicated when his daughter Charlie Vale (Jessica Belkin) shows up on his doorstep wanting to carry on the family legacy. The new lifeguard team includes Hassie Harrison as Nat, Shay Mitchell as Trina, Thaddeus LaGrone as Brad, Noah Beck as Luke, and Brooks Nader as Selene. In recurring roles, Livvy Dunne makes her acting debut as Grace, and David Chokachi reprises his original series character of Cody Madison.
The show is co-produced by FOX Entertainment Studios and Fremantle, with Matt Nix (Burn Notice, The Gifted) as showrunner and executive producer. McG directed the series premiere. The promise is everything that made the original work — adrenaline-fueled rescues, tangled relationships, complicated chemistry, and beachside heroics — updated for today's audience with new tensions and a renewed mission.
