Venezuelan Baseball Comes to loanDepot Park — and the Marlins Are Turning It Into a Relief Effort
Choque de Gigantes brings Navegantes del Magallanes vs. Tiburones de La Guaira to Miami on November 14-15, with ticket revenue, souvenir cup sales, and 50/50 raffles supporting earthquake relief in Venezuela through Global Empowerment Mission and We Love Venezuela Foundation.

Miami is home to one of the largest Venezuelan communities outside Venezuela, and on November 14 and 15, loanDepot park becomes the center of that community's baseball world. Choque de Gigantes brings two of Venezuela's most storied professional clubs — Navegantes del Magallanes and Tiburones de La Guaira — to Miami for a two-game series that doubles as a relief effort for the ongoing earthquake recovery in Venezuela.
The Miami Marlins have built a meaningful giving structure around the series. A portion of ticket revenue from both games goes to relief efforts. Fans can purchase commemorative Choque de Gigantes souvenir cups with a portion of sales benefiting the cause. The 50/50 Raffle during each game directs proceeds to Global Empowerment Mission. And attendees can bring donated supplies to collection points at the park entrance.
The Marlins have been involved in Venezuela earthquake relief since earlier this year, contributing $100,000 to Global Empowerment Mission for emergency response and hosting a supply drive at loanDepot park. This series extends that commitment through the lens of something the Venezuelan community in South Florida cares about deeply: the rivalry between Magallanes and La Guaira, which has been running for decades.
Tickets are on sale now at Marlins.com/Choque. Both games are November 14 and 15 at loanDepot park.
