Applications Now Open for the A4L ArtWorks Summer 2025 Internship Program

Program Details:

  • Dates: June 16 – July 25, 2025
  • Days: Monday – Friday
  • Times: 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Location: MDC Koubek Memorial Center (2705 SW 3rd St, Miami, FL 33135)
  • Eligibility: Students entering grades 9 – 12

Arts for Learning (A4L) has begun accepting applications for the highly anticipated ArtWorks Summer 2025 Internship Program in the Arts for High School Students. This six-week paid internship offers young creatives from across South Florida an unparalleled opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the arts while developing essential professional and life skills.

From June 16 to July 25, 2025, interns will collaborate with professional teaching artists in one of six specialized co-ops:

  • Animation
  • Architecture
  • Creative Writing & Film
  • Dance & Theater
  • Music Production
  • Visual Art

Beyond artistic development, ArtWorks interns will sharpen their teamwork, time management, and problem-solving abilities. The program also includes college and career guidance, financial literacy workshops, and networking opportunities with industry professionals, ensuring that participants gain confidence and connections while making works of art, and being paid.

“ArtWorks provides a unique space where teens can work amongst their peers while gaining real-world job experience in the arts,’ says Ivy S. Bennett, A4L Program Director. “Through arts education and hands-on projects, we empower young people with the workforce skills they need to succeed beyond high school.”

No arts experience is necessary to be hired. All applicants will be scheduled for a professional job interview, providing workforce experience. Teens eager to participate in this transformative experience should apply before the April 16, 2025 deadline. Visit www.a4lmiami.org to apply.
