An Evening with
Supreme Court Justice
Ketanji Brown Jackson
discussing Lovely One: A Memoir (Random House, $35)
The Books & Books Literary Foundation and the Adrienne Arsht Center proudly join forces to present an evening with Ketanji Brown Jackson, the first Black woman to be appointed to the U.S. Supreme Court. In her inspiring new memoir, LOVELY ONE (Random House, $35), Justice Jackson chronicles her life story and extraordinary path to becoming a jurist on America’s highest court. Named Ketanji Onyika, meaning “Lovely One,” based on a recommendation from her aunt, a Peace Corps worker stationed in West Africa, Justice Jackson learned from her educator parents to take pride in her heritage. Through trials and triumphs, Justice Jackson’s journey will resonate with dreamers everywhere, especially those who nourish outsize ambitions and refuse to be turned aside. This moving, openhearted tale will spread hope for a more just world for generations to come.
Tickets are $20 and seating is general admission. Add a signed copy of LOVELY ONE ($37.45 including tax*) to your ticket during checkout!
