discussing How to Save the Amazon: A Journalist’s Fatal Quest for Answers (Chelsea Green, $27.95)
How to Save the Amazon is the powerful, unfinished work of journalist Dom Phillips, completed after his tragic murder in the Javari Valley. Traveling deep into the rainforest with Indigenous expert Bruno Pereira, Phillips set out to uncover solutions to deforestation and threats facing the Amazon’s people and ecosystems. This book—finished by fellow writers, activists, and his widow—honors his legacy and explores urgent paths toward protecting one of Earth’s most vital resources.
