An Afternoon of Live Music: The Great Cuban Suite featuring Alberto Puerto & Friends

They’ll be presenting works from the album The Great Cuban Suite and new works from his new Latin American Songbook album in progress. The Great Cuban Suite & Friends will take you on a journey through the genres of Cuban music through the guitar, and is centered around the track “Timbeando”, a tribute to the Timba, a highly orchestrated and dynamic dance form that began to capture popular attention in the 1990s.  The concert will then move into new Latin American music tracks with vocal elements and arrangements that take inspiration from Latin jazz.
