Nov. 2-4
The American Association of Endodontists (AAE) invites the local journalists of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, to cover an event delving into the mysteries of pain in dentistry at Insight Track 2023: Pain. This endodontic event is set to take place in the picturesque setting of Palm Beach Gardens at the PGA National Resort.
Since 2009, the Insight Track meetings have been a hallmark in the field of endodontics, bringing together endodontists from all over the country to dive deep into critical topics in their specialty. This year, the focus is on “Pain,” a subject that plays a central role in an endodontist’s practice.
Pain, in the context of dentistry, is a complex and multifaceted issue, and this meeting promises to explore every facet. From the intricacies of pain’s biology to the pharmacological solutions, sedation methods, and managing emergencies, no aspect of tooth pain will be left unexamined.
Dr. Craig S. Hirschberg, the President of AAE, emphasizes the significance of this program: “So much of an endodontist’s practice focuses on the diagnosis, relief, and management of our patients’ pain. This will be an outstanding program, which takes an in-depth look at the many aspects of pain and even includes a presentation on chair yoga. In addition to the Welcome Reception, they have planned the optional add-ons of a golf outing or a Historic Palm Beach Biking Tour, which will provide a great mix of education and recreation.”
Key sessions include:
- “Unraveling the Neurobiological Foundations of Endodontic Diagnosis and Treatment Planning”
- “Giving It Our Best Shot – Local Anesthesia for Pain Management and Prevention”
- “Endodontic Flare Ups: Predisposing Factors”
- “Evidence-Based Analgesic Therapy”
- “Chronic Pain/Persistent Pain”
Attendees to Satisfy Portions of the DEA Education Requirements
Recently, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) announced a new one-time, eight-hour training requirement on the treatment and management of patients with opioid or other substance abuse disorders. Portions of the Insight Track: Pain meeting may meet this requirement.
Attendees are encouraged to reference their state licensing requirements for further details and state-specific information. Additional information can be found at ada.org.
We invite local journalists to cover this quest to understand and address tooth pain. AAE offers the opportunity to interview a spokesperson on site or remotely to gain valuable insights into the meeting’s significance and the broader topic of tooth pain.
