Luxury fashion house Akris is set to unveil its latest boutique in the prestigious Bal Harbour Shops this March 2026. Located prominently on the first-floor corner, the new store introduces Akris’ refined architectural concept, collaboratively designed with David Chipperfield Architects Milan.
Spanning 1,300 square feet, the boutique showcases the latest collections from Akris, Akris punto, and accessories, set within a space marked by elegant simplicity. Building on design ideals established in flagship stores in Washington D.C., Tokyo’s Ginza, and Chicago, the Bal Harbour location emphasizes themes of suspension, lightness, and precision—features reflected in minimalist displays supported by taut cables, white maple paneling, and calming grey limestone flooring.
The boutique’s understated façade, corner placement, and soft natural lighting create a serene, exclusive atmosphere reflecting both Akris’ architectural integrity and Bal Harbour’s tropical sophistication. The fitting rooms, lined in ivory horsehair fabric and grey cashmere, echo the brand’s commitment to craftsmanship and luxurious materials.

Albert Kriemler, Creative Director of Akris, notes: “Bal Harbour is a destination for clients who value craftsmanship and style. Our new boutique embodies the spirit of South Florida while maintaining our signature architectural language.”
Founded in 1922 in Switzerland, Akris has become an international luxury label known for innovative fabrics, embroidery, and digital printing techniques. The house operates boutiques worldwide and is renowned for accessories like the Ai bag in Mongolian horsehair and art-inspired scarves.
Bal Harbour Shops, established in 1965 by Stanley Whitman, is the premier all-luxury shopping destination, celebrated for its lush tropical landscapes, waterfalls, and oceanfront setting—an ideal environment for Akris’ refined elegance.
