AI and the Arts: A Masterclass

Led by artists Fabiola Larios and Moises Sanabria, this masterclass will explore the rapidly evolving landscape of AI and what it means for the future of art and artists. As practitioners who have been experimenting with AI in their own work over the past 6+ years, Larios and Sanabria will cover the technology’s history and development, its potential for artistic expression as well as the ethical considerations that surround it. In addition, the artists will showcase an array of AI tools such as Artbreeder, DALLE, Midjourney, Kaiber, Runway, and ChatGPT. Larios and Sanabria hope the session will open new possibilities for artists, by encouraging them to utilize AI tools to achieve better results, inspire new artworks and realize art installations or objects.
