In exciting news for margarita lovers and racing fans alike, PATRÓN Tequila has announced a new sweepstakes that will give lucky winners the chance to attend the second annual Miami Grand Prix. Through the PATRÓN Cinco Circuit sweepstakes, one winner and a friend will be flown to Miami and treated to a luxury hotel stay, celebrity sightings, and a VIP experience at the big race on Sunday, May 6.
According to D-J Hageman, Vice President Marketing at PATRÓN Tequila, the sweepstakes are part of a larger celebration of Cinco de Mayo and the company’s partnership with Becky G. “In addition to having one lucky fan join PATRÓN trackside, we’re also excited to once again show up during race weekend with our familia Becky G. at our Cinco de Mayo celebration, the PATRÓN Pit Stop,” Hageman said.
To enter the sweepstakes, participants can either scan a QR code at a PATRÓN Cinco Circuit display in a local bar, or follow the tequila brand on Instagram or Twitter and tag a friend in one of two official posts using the hashtags #PATRÓNCincoCircuit and #PATRÓNSweepstakes. Participants will then receive a direct message with a link to the microsite where they can enter the sweepstakes.
There are two ways to enter:
- In-Person: When you see a PATRÓN Cinco Circuit display while at your local bar (shelf-takers, display headers, counter cards, coasters, etc.), simply scan the QR code which will then direct you to a microsite to enter the sweepstakes.
- Social Media: Fans can follow PATRÓN on Instagram or Twitter, and comment on one of two official posts released by tagging the friend (must be 21+) they would take with them to the big race and using the hashtags #PATRÓNCincoCircuit and #PATRÓNSweepstakes. Each fan to comment will immediately receive a direct message with a link to the microsite to enter.
As always, it’s important to note that sweepstakes contestants must be 21 years or older and adhere to all state and federal laws regarding alcohol consumption. But for those lucky enough to win, the PATRÓN Cinco Circuit sweepstakes promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience of high-speed thrills and tequila-fueled celebrations.
Regardless of where drinkers find themselves celebrating this Cinco de Mayo, they can shake up their own PATRÓN Perfect Margarita:
1.5 oz PATRÓN Silver Tequila
1 oz Citrónge Orange Liqueur
.75 oz Fresh lime juice
.25 oz Simple syrup
Lime wedge for garnish
Kosher salt (optional)
Combine liquid ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously with ice to chill.
Strain onto fresh ice in a rocks glass and garnish with a lime wedge. Optionally, salt half the rim of the glass with kosher salt.
