This week, Abbi Pulling and Gabriele Minì will make their fourth track appearances with the Nissan Formula E Team during the Rookie Free Practice session at the Miami International Autodrome, as Formula E makes its third-ever visit to Florida.
For the first time, two cars will run in FP0, giving Nissan more track time to refine setup and strategy ahead of the inaugural Formula E race at this new venue. This provides both drivers a valuable chance to gather data, build confidence, and deepen their understanding of the Nissan e‑4ORCE 05.
Pulling, 22, brings extensive experience in GEN3 Evo cars, including multiple all-women’s test sessions, the Berlin Rookie Test last year, and victories at Miami during her F1 Academy campaign in 2024. Her familiarity with the Miami circuit and simulator work supports her strong preparation for this weekend’s track debut.
Minì, 20, impressively topped timesheets in recent Rookie Tests and has shown consistent pace in Formula 2, with podium finishes at Monaco, Silverstone, and Abu Dhabi. His return to Nissan, thanks to partnership with Alpine Racing, aims to maximize data collection on the new Miami circuit.
Both drivers previously worked together in Berlin last season and will participate in a 40-minute session on January 30, starting the race weekend with key on-track insights.
Tommaso Volpe, Nissan Formula E Team’s managing director, emphasized the strategy behind this outing: “Maximizing this new track data is crucial. Both Abbi and Gabriele are familiar with the team and car, and this will help them settle quickly and deliver valuable information for the race preparation.”
Pulling expressed enthusiasm: “I’m grateful to be back with Nissan and excited about this new track. My goal is to gather as much data as possible and set the team up for a strong start.”
Minì added: “It’s great to return in Miami. After showing good pace in Jeddah and Berlin, I aim to do the same here—collectting data and helping the team develop throughout the weekend.”
With the Miami race debut on the horizon, Nissan’s focus is on gathering critical insights and ensuring their drivers are well-prepared for success at this exciting new circuit.
