Swedish furniture giant IKEA launched its new Grejsimojs children’s collection during Miami Art Week, emphasizing play and accessibility. The temporary IKEA Open House Miami installation on Lincoln Road showcased 33 playful objects designed by creatives like Carl Ojerstam and Marta Krupińska.

Inspired by post-pandemic play studies, the collection emphasizes “play throughout the home” with themes such as compete, imagine, and create. Notable pieces included a dog-shaped light in a giant blue doghouse and a furry Mammut chair positioned on a pink pool deck—paying homage to Miami’s vibrant vibe.

The installation featured a central display of all objects, with smaller sections highlighting individual pieces like a giraffe lamp, cactus hanger, and duck-shaped rocking horse—designed to remain accessible and encourage spontaneous play.

The Grejsimojs collection will be available online starting February 2026, with the Miami pop-up running through December 6. IKEA’s innovative approach aims to make play a natural, integral part of family life, transforming how children interact with their space.
