Frost School of Music Celebrates Legacy at Billboard Latin Music Week in Miami

On October 20, the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music will be honored at Billboard’s exclusive, invite-only Latin Power Players event, recognizing the school’s profound influence on Latin music through its alumni. Celebrating five decades of producing innovators, the event will highlight notable Frost graduates such as Jorge Mejia (Sony Music Publishing Latin), Emilio Estefan, Gloria Estefan, Jon Secada, Raquel Sofía, and more.

Recently named by Billboard as a top music school globally, Frost’s alumni are shaping the Latin music industry with groundbreaking artistry and leadership. Jorge Mejia will receive the Publisher of the Year Award, further exemplifying Frost’s legacy of cultivating industry giants. Since 1926, Frost’s innovative curriculum and multimedia approach have prepared students to lead and redefine global music.
