In honor of Black History Month, MOAD Talks presents Time and Place: Multitudes of Black Experience in Miami, which will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM at MDC’s Padrón Campus.

This panel discussion contextualizes Kabuya Pamela Bowens-Saffo’s contributions to Miami and the art world, and discusses her exhibition From the Heights, presented by MOAD and currently on view at MDC’s Padrón Campus Art Gallery.

Panelists Valerie L. Patterson, Donette Francis, and Simeon Richardson will consider how the artist’s work reflects time, place, and Black culture in Miami, and how her archive encapsulates the Black experience.

The gallery will stay open late that evening to provide attendees the opportunity to visit the exhibition.

Refreshments will be served.

Free parking is available at MDC’s Padrón Campus flat parking lot located at 2501 SW 6th Street, Miami, FL 33135.
