Chef JJ Johnson, a James Beard Award-winning chef and advocate for Black culture, has made it his mission to amplify African American cuisine. “The Cookout” at SOBEWFF® is his way of celebrating and reclaiming the beauty of this culinary tradition and an unforgettable celebration of history, flavor, and soul. Hosted at Eden Roc, the event features dishes from a diverse group of chefs who honor culturally significant ingredients and techniques.   • Wine Seminars, Eden Roc Ballroom:
    • Madame Pommery: The Genius Creator of the Brut Champagne, 11-12PM: Celebrate 150 years of Champagne Pommery, the house that revolutionized Champagne with the creation of Brut Champagne. Discover its rich history and enjoy six exceptional champagnes from the Pommery collection.

 

    • Uncorking Oregon Pinot Noir: A Journey Through Terroir and Time, 12-1PM: Join Willamette Valley legend Eugenia Keegan for an exclusive seminar exploring what makes Oregon Pinot Noir unique.     • A Journey through Chianti Classico and Montalcino with Marchesi Antinori, 2-3PM: This vertical tasting seminar will allow consumers to know and to fully appreciate wines of Tuscany that respect their nature and their terroir, offering a great deal of insight on history and practice of winemaking.
