Coca-Cola Beverages Florida Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with Educational Initiatives

Coca-Cola Beverages Florida, LLC (Coke Florida) is commemorating Hispanic Heritage Month by launching a series of events aimed at uplifting Hispanic communities statewide. From September 15 to October 15, the family-owned bottler will provide access to technology and educational resources, including equipping tech labs, offering coding sessions, and donating laptops to academically distinguished students.

“We are continuously seeking out ways to further support our local communities and build upon our dedication to education,” stated Terrence Gee, Senior Vice President of Technology & Enterprise Transformation at Coke Florida. He emphasized that providing such resources is just the beginning of their efforts to enhance digital fluency among underserved students.

Since its establishment in 2015, Coke Florida has focused on sustainability, education, and economic empowerment. Under its education pillar, the company has donated over 400 laptops and more than 5,500 backpacks filled with school supplies this year alone, reinforcing its reputation for supporting traditionally underserved communities.

This year’s Hispanic Heritage Month activities will engage community partners across Jacksonville, Orlando, Riviera Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade counties, where partner organizations will receive Chromebooks and tech supplies. In Riviera Beach, Coke Florida’s Technology Team will conduct a Minecraft Coding Skills training session for students. Local government officials will also join in the celebrations throughout the month.
