Florida Freedom Sweeps PBR Teams Event in Anaheim, Climbs to No. 3 in League

The Florida Freedom displayed their dominance at the PBR Camping World Team Series event over the weekend, going a perfect 2-0 and rising to No. 3 in the league standings.

The action kicked off on Friday night as the Freedom faced the Missouri Thunder. Florida surged ahead with impressive performances, including John Crimber’s standout 90-point ride. The Freedom secured victory with a final score of 266 to 167.75.

Continuing their momentum, the Freedom took on the reigning champion Texas Rattlers on Saturday. Riding a wave of confidence, Florida went 3-for-5, with contributions from Alex Cerqueira, Elizmar Jeremias, and Crimber, leading to a shutout against the Rattlers, finishing 260.25 to 0.00.

With their two victories, the Freedom advanced to the Shootout Round, where Yan Victor Santos Cunha scored 86.75 points on Manaba, helping the team finish third in the special round before enjoying a bye on Sunday.

The Florida Freedom now holds an 11-9 season record after their successful weekend in California.

Next up, the PBR Camping World Team Series moves to Greensboro, North Carolina, for the tenth event of the 2024 season, with the Freedom set to face off against the New York Mavericks on opening night, September 20.
