Salt & Straw’s Anticipated Chocolatiers Ice Cream Series Returns + Launch of Exclusive Collab Flavor w/ New World Symphony

The return of the Chocolatiers Series from beloved Salt & Straw ice cream. Available starting Friday, February 2nd in scoop shops and via nationwide shipping, the “Chocolatiers Series” is made in partnership with some of the most renowned chocolatiers and bean-to-bar connoisseurs in the country, re-inventing the traditional heart-shaped box of Valentine’s Day chocolates in ice cream form. The series features five unique flavors, including one with local Miami based Exquisito Chocolates, created by co-founder and ice cream innovator Tyler Malek, to celebrate the month of chocolate and love.

Additionally, Salt & Straw has partnered with New World Symphony, the American orchestral academy based in Miami Beach, Florida, to create a custom flavor in celebration of the New World Symphony’s “I Dream a World: Mary Lou’s Harlem” concert. Blood Orange Sherbet w/ Milk Chocolate Fudge features Florida oranges in multiple ways —layered blood orange sherbet with orange zest ice cream and then folded in single-origin chocolate ganache with a milk chocolate fudge. The flavor will be available during an in-shop performance of the song at a special event at the Lincoln Road shop on February 9th from 7-9pm

  • Fran’s Chocolate Almond Gold Bar – Almond Gold Bars from Fran’s Chocolate in Seattle are chopped into bite-sized pieces and tossed into a silky salted vanilla ice cream. Ribbons of burnt caramel and ultra rich dark chocolate stracciatella are drizzled in to deliver a flavor you’re sure to fall head over heels for.

  • Cloudforest Chocolate Ishpingo & Mango – A tart lemon verbena sherbet spiced with ishpingo–a warm, cinnamon-y spice grown in the forests of Ecuador–is swirled with an intense dark chocolate ice cream created in collaboration with cloudforest in Portland. A ripple of mango curd marries the contrasting flavors with a tropical touch.

  • Dandelion Cocoa Nibs & Frangipane – Dark cocoa nibs from San Francisco-based chocolate company Dandelion are steeped to create a stunning roasted chocolate base, then candied and tossed back into the ice cream for double the cocoa power. A velvety frangipane swirl flecked with bits of crushed almonds is then folded in.

  • Compartés’ Cake Batter Chocolate Fudge – A new flavor for this year featuring rainbow-sprinkle cake batter ice cream with ripples of brown butter vanilla bean fudge made with LA=based Compartés chocolate, perfectly mimicking chocolate frosting.

  • Exquisito Chocolate’s Passion Fruit Truffles (v) – Another new flavor for this year, featuring half vanilla coconut cream with studs of chocolate truffles from Exquisito Chocolates in Miami, and half passionfruit coconut cream with studs of single-origin Guatemalan dark chocolate stracciatella.

Spread the love!
