Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is setting the scene for the largest sea of green with its annual St. Patrick’s Day Celebration taking place Wednesday, March 17 beginning at 10 a.m. South Florida’s largest Irish party that typically features thousands of revelers will, once again, showcase live music headlined by UV – a U2 Tribute Band, Irish dancers, strolling bagpipes, traditional food and fare, drink specials and more.
Murphy’s Law rolls out the barrel of fun at 10 a.m. with authentic Irish music, dancers and bagpipers. Lunch specials include green beer, Guinness and prizes and giveaways. From 3 – 7 p.m., go as green as you wanna be at the St. Patrick’s Day Special Happy Hour featuring the Karl Drake Irish Dancers and UV – The U2 Tribute. UV was originally formed as Ultraviolet in 2005 by Eddie Steklasa. In that year, UV was chosen many times by U2’s own travel and tour operator, ETS, to provide pre and post U2 concert entertainment on U2’s Vertigo Tour. Since then, they have toured internationally, playing to literally tens of thousands of fans at packed music halls, festivals and corporate events across the USA and in Canada, Mexico, and South America. UV’s clients include the prestigious House of Blues, Hard Rock, Revolution, and many other top music halls. UV’s members are all avid U2 fans, and thus, take pride in recreating the best of U2’s live performances over the past 30 years to other fans.
From 7 to 11 p.m. get your Emerald Isle groove on with Funkette with Paraic Keane on fiddle & the Karl Drake Irish Dancers. Late night from 11p.m. to 4 a.m. get jiggy with the Swinging Richards and the Karl Drake Irish Dancers.
Feast on traditional Irish fare at 88’s Dueling Pianos’ Irish Beer Garden and Food Court beginning at 2 p.m. Corned Beef and Cabbage, Leg of Lamb, Sausage, Potato Coddle and much more will be available along with $.88 green beer, $5 Irish Car Bombs and hourly drink specials on the patio. Live entertainment will include Irish folk singers and dancers. The party continues with 88’s Dueling Pianos’ “World Famous Rock and Roll Dueling Piano Show” from 6 p.m. until 2 a.m. with a “Lucky Irish Pot of Gold” balloon drop for cash and prizes at midnight.
Inside the Casino, Center Bar will be offering green Bud Light drafts at $2; Guinness drafts at $3 and Jameson cocktails at $5.
