MiMo MADNESS, the Third Annual Street Festival sponsored by the MiMo Biscayne Association will celebrate the historic Miami Modern architecture on Biscayne Boulevard along with the restoration of the MOTEL NEW YORKER. MiMo MADNESS will be held Saturday, March 20th from 10AM to 8PM. The GRAND OPENING PARTY CELEBRATIING THE RENOVATION & RESTORATION OF the MOTEL NEW YORKER will be from 6 – 8PM with a reception, DJ & surprise performance. This is truly MiMo Moment with District history in the making! Such care has been taken on this project that the original name and neon is BACK! The rooms have been restored and decorated in designs reminiscent of the Miami Modern era.
The Madness Kick-Off Party 5PM-8PM Friday, March 19th is sponsored by Moonchine Asian Bistro, 7100 Biscayne. Enjoy a live D.J., snacks and Happy Hour prices for special drinks and food items.
On Saturday, MiMo Boulevard will come alive with antique and craft vendors, street performers, historic tours, stilt walkers, comic characters, artists, live music, free face painting, stilt walkers and tasty tastes of MiMo from many of the MiMo Restaurants (listed below) along the way
