Into the Stacks: Men at Work

Into the Stacks: Men at Work
On-site | Friday, August 25 @ 7–9pm

Unearth rarities in our collection as Wolfsonian chief librarian Frank Luca joins Bookleggers Library director Nathaniel Sandler for a behind-the-scenes look at the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), a work relief program for unemployed, unmarried young men during the Great Depression. Rare CCC photo albums, newsletters, and more will shed some light on this New Deal agency and its vast impact on the landscape, both locally and nationally.

This program is presented in conjunction with Sandler’s Knight Foundation-funded project, Crypt Cracking.

Free; held at 1001 Washington Ave.
