We’re excited to announce a special encore presentation of MJFF 2023 Official Selection June Zero on Sunday, July 23 at 7pm at the Michael-Ann Russell JCC as part of the Israeli Film Series free community program.
This gripping new film by American filmmaker Jake Paltrow is set during the 1961 trial of Adolf Eichmann, the architect of the mass murder of Jews during World War II. Largely shot on 16mm film, June Zero offers a vividly textured experience, presenting the diasporic Jewish people through three distinct perspectives. Through its unorthodox narrative approach, the film reminds us that shared histories are interpreted differently across the globe, highlighting our interconnectedness through past traumas.
