Fullscreen’s New York offices, executives from the new social-first SVOD service (launching tomorrow, Tuesday April 26th) made several announcements including plans to partner with best-selling author Bret Easton Ellis for his directorial debut of new series, “The Deleted.” In this original thriller, the disappearance of three seemingly unconnected people from Los Angeles triggers a collective paranoia among a group of twenty-somethings, all of whom escaped from a cult several years back.
Other talent attending included YouTube stars whose original content premieres on Fullscreen tomorrow: Grace Helbig (“Electra Woman & Dyna Girl”), Alexis G. Zall (“Zall Good with Alexis G. Zall”), and Twaimz (“Party in the Back”).
George Strompolos, Fullscreen’s Founder & CEO, opened up the presentation by proclaiming Fullscreen as the first streaming service to target a fresh, young generation that is eager for social engagement and daily offerings. Andy Forssell, Fullscreen’s COO, revealed the new app’s look and feel, and shared how users can create and send GIFs from Fullscreen shows via their social media platforms.
