Kitchen 305’s “Great Gatsby” inspired New Years Eve extravaganza. Enjoy a celebration of opulence, elegance and indulgence featuring the entire splendor of the 1920s.
Starting at 8 p.m. pay homage to the “Age of Wonderful Nonsense” with jazzy flappers, captivating showgirls, Zhantra burlesque dancers, a vintage fashion showcase, “big band” trumpet player and guest DJs La Trice, Retrokidd and Hana.
Drink, dine and dance luxuriously for $70 per person with a four-course dinner starting with Oysters Rockefeller, four oysters on the half shell, soaked in Pernod and topped with herbs and spinach; Beef Carpaccio, thin slices of spice encrusted filet mignon and micro greens drizzled with aged balsamic dressing, extra virgin olive and a sprinkle of Fleur de Sel or Citrus Marinated Tiger Shrimp, jumbo prawns served with cocktail sauce.
Second course offerings include Roasted Beets & Burrata, coupled with a frisee romesco sauce; Lobster Bisque, accompanied by oxtail ravioli or Bibb Salad, organic Bibb lettuce tossed with grilled plums, Maytag Blue Crostini and candied pecans in a champagne vinaigrette dressing.
Featured entrees range from Filet Oscar, poached Lobster Newburg and grilled asparagus topped with hollandaise sauce; Coq a Vin of Cornish Hen, free-range hen served with parsnip mashed potatoes; Seared Halibut, fresh halibut, zucchini risotto in a pinot blanco beurre blanc glaze or Pasta Pomodoro, vine-ripened diced tomatoes, chiffonade basil and pressed garlic in a white wine sauce.
Decadent desserts include Baked Alaska or Dark Chocolate Caramel Bombe.
