It’s baaaaack and more hair-raising than ever! Registration is now open for the fifth annual “Scary Rock Star” Costume Contest on October 25, 2013 at 9 p.m. at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. Do you have what it takes to make the judges scream for more? If so, register at Scary Rock Stars and pain”stake”ingly describe your chilling costume. If you knock the judges dead, you’ll win a share of $25,000 in cash and prizes.
Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is offering a $5,000 overall top cash prize and $2,500 separate cash prizes for the first place winners in the killer categories of Scary Spooktacular, Sexy and Pop Culture/Entertainment/Misc. Registration is free and is encouraged as categories fill-up quickly.
On October 25, entrants will be required to check-in at 7:30 p.m. to receive a number that must be clearly displayed on the front of their costume. Through a series of preliminary rounds, contestants will be judged in each costume category. Each category will have three top winners. The first place contestant from each of the three categories will compete for the title of “Scary Rock Star” with one contestant to be awarded the grand prize.
Costumes will be judged on creativity, originality and appearance by local media celebrities including Shireen Sandoval of WSVN 7’s Deco Drive and Ninalicia from Y100. Ross Bielejeski from Rock With U Entertainment will once again be the master of “terror”monies for the ghastly gathering.
For all spooktacular freaks and “gore”geously chic entries, please remember that good taste must be used in the creation and presentation of costumes. No sharp objects on costumes or props and real weapons are strictly prohibited. Participants must be 21 to enter.
