Homestead-Miami Speedway and Zoo Miami are teaming up to host 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Brad Keselowksi at the zoo for a series of activities with animals on Tuesday, October 15, 2012, at noon EST.
The visit is part of NASCAR’s Victory Tour program previewing Ford Championship Weekend, which culminates with the season-ending championship race – the Ford EcoBoost 400 – on November 17 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

What: Keselowski will participate in the following activities led by Magill:
§ Meet one of the zoo’s new cheetah boys (ergo, fastest land mammal meets one of racing’s fastest drivers)
§ Spend time with the zoo’s giraffe herd, including feeding the tall animals face to face from atop a platform
§ Go behind the scenes to meet a male black or Indian rhinoceros and hand feed them
§ Visit with a koala at the Koala Barn
§ Give a neck massage to a 500 lb. Galapagos giant land tortoise (ergo, racer meets slow reptile)
§ Pet one of the world’s largest owls
§ Meet & Greet with more than a dozen Homestead High School student winners that submitted essays entitled “Driven to Graduate,” that outlined their goals for life
§ Lunch with Zoo Miami staff
§ Throughout the day, Keselowski will post photos and videos to the track’s Instagram account (Instagram.com/HomesteadMiami)
