We’ll be screening “The Kitchin,” Miami’s first community-made stop-motion animation. The short film was created by Miami locals in a series of free workshops throughout the month of June, under the guidance of local artists Karla Caprali and Sophia Cabral.
But that’s not all! Visitors will also enjoy:
- The debut screening of “The Kitchin” stop-motion animation with a LIVE soundtrack
- Mini filmmaking sessions to create a short film on your personal device using the set from The Kitchin.
- Paper puppet-making stations.
- Mini poetry workshop with Oscar Fuentes, AKA the Biscayne Poet, and his vintage typewriter
- Live music by Baby B Strings Quartet
- Behind-the-scenes short documentaries of the June workshops
The best part? Tickets are only $10 and include evening access to Vizcaya’s waterfront gardens for the night. We’ll see you there! |
