Water for People “Impact Circle”

unnamed-2As the fashionable crowd descends on Miami for Basel this week, one special group of notables has come together to support Water for People and will be hosting an event for the venerable charity this Thursday (Dec 1) at the Nautilus hotel.
The Water for People “Impact Circle” has joined forces to support this amazing charity at Basel and beyond. The first person to sign on was Jonas Tahlin, CEO of Absolut Elyx, who was so moved that he immediately forged a partnership for Absolute Elyx to support the charity’s mission, committing to a 5-year plan to bring safe water to over 100,000 people worldwide.
Earlier this fall (September 23–30), Jonas actually walked four miles each day to collect five gallons of water to get a glimpse of what it is like for the 1.8 billion people around the world who don’t have access to safe water.
With Jonas setting the tone, an amazing group followed suit. Additional members include Scott Eastwood (actor), Alicia Quarles (journalist/on-air personality), Danielle Knudson (model), Mia Moretti (DJ), Simone Messmer (Principal Ballerina, Miami City Ballet), Stacey Bendet Eisner (founder, alice + olivia), Sean Kelly (Founder Sean Kelly Gallery) and more.
Committee members will be on-site for Thursday’s event and many have made generous donations of auction items, including Simone Messmer-signed pointe shoes with four (4) tickets to the opening night world premiere of The Fairy’s Kiss (Miami, February 10th); and a tennis racket signed by Milos Raonic (boyfriend of Impact Circle member, Danielle Knudsen), who is the #3 singles tennis player in the world.
